Taking It Home

3rd - 5th for May 13

Overview

Today we learned about Unitarian Daniel Chester French.  French had a gift for sculpting.  He sculpted a statue to commemorate the Revolutionary war.  Unitarian Universalists believe in self expression and sculpting (as well as other art forms) can be a powerful tool for self-expression.  Today, we created sculptures out of bread dough.

Bring It Home

Many Unitarian Universalists have a passion for art.  Expose your child to different art forms - sculpt, paint, draw, sing, dance, and act.   Feed your child’s need for self-expression by involving them in art programs throughout the city.

Reminder: We need a white T-shirt for your child by May 20th if s/he wants to tie-dye a Chalice at our end of the year party.  Make sure to write your last name in permanent marker on the tag.
