UU-UNO:  UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST – UNITED NATIONS OFFICE

Purpose

The Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office promotes the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all, as reflected in the United Nations Charter. Through targeted education, advocacy and outreach, we engage Unitarian Universalists in support of international cooperation and the work of the United Nations. 

Background 

For several years the Social Justice Committee has been in touch with the UN through this organization directly.  For many years Ginny Lutton, then Katie Campbell,  handled the sale of UNICEF cards at First Church.  That was discontinued when the cards became available through Hallmark Stores. 

Current Activity 

At this time, the Social Justice Committee passes information from UU-UNO along to congregants.
