| The meditation
group is a group effort to support each other in the practice of zen
meditation, zazen. we are not affiliated with a particular teacher but have
adopted rituals similar to the Zen Center in Rochester, NY, and Zen Mountain
Monastery in upstate NY.
We sit two 35 minute periods with 5
minutes of walking meditation (kinhin) in between, beginning 6:15 am and
ending 7:30 am. Meditators may leave after one period of sitting if their
schedule requires.
Beginners who have never been given a
zazen practice will be shown different postures and introduced to beginning
breath practice by special arrangement with Jeff Goldsmith (513-871-0416).
